Cynthia Xi President |
president@umd.gamersymphony.org | Plotting world domination one officer meeting at a time. Accidentally became GSO president because I thought I was signing up for free boba. |
![]() |
Lauren Rabe Vice President |
vice.president@umd.gamersymphony.org | I'm taller than my cello! Some of my favorite games are Terraria, Stardew Valley, and Baldur's Gate 3. I also have a fluffy white dog named Zara, she is the cutest! |

Om Duggineni Treasurer |
treasurer@umd.gamersymphony.org | Computers are really fun when they work and really annoying when they don't. But if something is important, no amount of annoyance is an excuse to let it stop working! Also true for everything else in life. Favorite Games: Portal, "Primeval Deity Effects", The Henry Stickmin Collection, Bloons TD 6 (I'm not allowed to mention the name of the second one due to an inside joke, but feel free to guess it in the comments!) |

Norah Vanderpool Treasurer |
treasurer@umd.gamersymphony.org | send squirrel pics @norahv_ (other genres of animal gladly accepted) |
![]() |
Ella Valentine Secretary |
secretary@umd.gamersymphony.org | I don't talk about bios, GSO. I don't have any, I've never seen one. I'm a alto-singing, Lego game-playing vigilante, and a minute meeting writing machine. I don't feel anything emotionally, except for being secretary. 24/7, 365, at a million percent. |

Serena Alamina Orchestra Manager |
orchestra.manager@umd.gamersymphony.org | Just hanging on to the little time I have left at UMD while also doing my best to make the most of it :D Outside of GSO and cello land I play piano n’ sax, and I love gaming (wow shocking!), spinning guard equipment, hibernating at the Clarice (genuinely, why do I live there if I’m in infosci???), and countless other things. My favorite game right now is honkai star rail, the lore just hits every time!! |

Claire Huang Music Director |
music.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Why am I laughing? Apologies, my friend. It's just that as an INTJ, these illogical actions of yours...well, I find them to be amusing. What's that? A free sample of your store's new crispened potato snacks? ...Not necessary. I've already calcula- |

Oscar Krug Orchestra Conductor |
orchestra.conductor@umd.gamersymphony.org | Along with GSO, I play Horn in the UBand and Tenor Sax in the Pep Band! I am currently learning lots of instruments and am enjoying the journey immensely. Attempting to get into some of the games I couldn't when I was younger - Pokemon and the OG Mario games, if I have the time. Reach out for any questions with arranging, music, or biking. |
![]() |
Robert Morris Orchestra Conductor |
orchestra.conductor@umd.gamersymphony.org | Robert has been involved with the GSO since Fall 2022 where he originally played in the French Horn section. He is a PhD student in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department, where his research focuses on developing sprayable polymers for surgical applications. Elsewhere on campus, he's the President for the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Graduate Student Association. Favorite games include the Legend of Zelda series, Stardew Valley, the Civilization series, and Elden Ring. |
![]() |
Neel Sanghvi Choral Director |
choral.conductor@umd.gamersymphony.org | Been with the orchestra for an ungodly amount of semesters and have enjoyed literally every second of it. It is even more satisfying than logging over 1000 hours in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Science may be my lifeblood, but this video game music and community are what fill me with pride and purpose. |
![]() |
Theresa Menna Choral Director |
choral.conductor@umd.gamersymphony.org | Thought I was an alto, turned out I was a soprano... and now I'm a choral director! Outside of GSO, you'll find me around the Entomology department studying the genetic basis of host preference in mosquitoes. Or on my couch playing another 1000 hours of Animal Crossing. |
![]() |
Stella Garner PR Director |
pr.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Stella is the percussion section leader for the GSO and also participates in the UMD Drumline. Outside of music, she is the Tabloids Editor for The Diamondback and knows far too much about The Muppets. |
![]() |
Shiham Siddiqui PR Director |
pr.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Still not cool enough to play saxophone. |
![]() |
Christopher Assiryani Social Director |
social.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | I play euphonium, I'm the low brass section leader, and I got taped to a wall last year |
![]() |
Simon Bailey Fundraising Director |
fundraising.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | I am a Flute player in the GSO, and outside of the GSO I am an actor in the sketch comedy group "Sketchup." One fun fact about me is that I have 11 siblings (but I'm cooler than all of them.) |
![]() |
Garrett Peters Fundraising Director |
fundraising.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Hi, I am a fourth year graduate student studying mathematics and a member of the first violin section of the orchestra. Outside of the orchestra, I enjoy playing games such as Hollow Knight (Let's go Silksong!), Celeste, Tunic, and many more! |
![]() |
Quinlan Ngo Technical Director |
tech.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Been gaming and playing music since I was a wee lad. I’ll play and enjoy pretty much anything from rage-inducing platformers to cozy co-op games. My favorites include Minecraft, Expedition 33, Terraria, Celeste, and Overwatch 2. Outside of GSO I do flips and stuff. |
![]() |
Jack Wethington Technical Director |
tech.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Outside of music and video games, I'm a big fan of space, geography, movies, math (the fun kind), cubing, and roller coasters. I am allergic to potatoes and some other things. |
![]() |
Saanvi Verma Technical Director |
tech.director@umd.gamersymphony.org | Applied Math and Economics majors with minor in Physics! I'm a soprano 1 in the choir and it's very fun <3 |
![]() |
Charu Mehta Webmaster |
webmaster@umd.gamersymphony.org | I think what qualifies me to play flute in GSO is my consistent streak on the LinkedIn games |
![]() |
Silas Rager Webmaster |
webmaster@umd.gamersymphony.org | Hi I'm Silas and I've been in GSO since Spring 2023. You can probably find me on overwatch, riding rollercoasters, or playing my silly trumpet. |
![]() |
Ian Jackson Officer-at-Large |
officer.at.large@umd.gamersymphony.org | Ian was last seen at Legends Halal at 1am. His current whereabouts are unknown. Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell |
![]() |
Archita Naik Officer-at-Large |
officer.at.large@umd.gamersymphony.org | Hey y'all, I'm from the Soprano section and love singing super fun music in GSO! In my spare time, I like watching bad comedy movies and playing 6-board bingo on Roblox with my friends. |
The GSO picks a new officer board each April from within the group's active membership; webmasters, PR directors, tech directors, and all conductors are appointed after the other positions are filled through elections among all undergraduates in the ensemble. The officer board meets weekly for the hour before rehearsal during the school year and meets occasionally during the summer and winter breaks.
Feel free to contact any officer directly if you have a specific question or request!
