20th Anniversary Concert!
Our 20th anniversary is coming up, and we want to put on an extra special concert at the Prestigious Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, MD. However, putting on a concert at the Strathmore isn't cheap, and we need your help to raise the funds to make our dream come true. Our overarching goal is to make around $20,000, which would cover almost all of the renting, labor, and transportation costs of performing at such a popular venue. Many orchestras cover a majority of these costs with ticket sales, but the GSO at UMD has a policy of making every single one of our concerts completely free to the public. Every little bit counts and no matter what, donations will help the GSO to continue making amazing music for our fans for years to come!
The Gamer Symphony Orchestra is a student run ensemble, funded only by the UMD SGA and our generous fans' donations.
Please visit our Giving to Maryland
page to show your support through a tax-deductible donation! Also consider buying some GSO merchandise at our
Redbubble store. We also hold a fundraiser every semester for the Children's National Hospital, Gaming4Life,
which is open to the public. In addition, we hold frequent fundraisers at local restaurants around the College Park area
which we announce on social media.
Come out to our free concerts and check out our past recordings on our official Youtube
page! We hold two main concerts as well as one Small Ensemble concert every semester, which are streamed
on our Twitch page.
